Keemo Paul made headlines when he took a career-best 5 for 15 against Bangladesh in their T20 series in December 2018, helping his team break their duck after a tough few months on the road. The 21-year-old has become a regular feature in all formats for the Windies team in recent months, and has been among the wickets in all three versions of the game.

After making a mark in the Under-19 World Cup a few years ago, Kagiso Rabada’s stocks have risen sharply, so much that he has taken over the mantle of leading South Africa’s impressive pace attack in recent months. Rabada was retained by Delhi Capitals for the 2019 season despite not playing a part in 2018. His stature has only risen in world cricket in the last twelve months, and the tearaway quick will form an impressive fast bowling attack with Trent Boult and Ishant Sharma for company.

After going unsold in the 2018 IPL, India fast bowler Ishant Sharma was signed up by Delhi Capitals at a salary of INR 1.1 crore, and will form an impressive fast bowling line-up with the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Trent Boult. The tall fast bowler has been a pivotal member of the Indian Test team for a number of years, and returns to Delhi from where he plays his domestic cricket. Ishant played a vital role in India’s Test performances in England and Australia last season, and after spending time with Kolkata and Hyderabad previously, he returns to his home town for another crack at IPL glory.

Harshal Patel was one of the few players to be retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2019 auctions; the franchise hasshown faith in the 28-year-old seamer who has been a consistent performer for Haryana in first-class cricket. After spending the majority of his IPL career at Royal Challengers Bangalore, Patel moved to Delhi last season, and will be looking to impress the team management with the opportunities he gets in a star-studded bowling line-up.

Axar Patel, the bowling all-rounder from Gujarat, had earned his maiden IPL contract with Mumbai Indians in 2013, and a switch to KXIP the following season made him a household name in the competition in the years that followed. After being a regular in the KXIP lineup, Axar was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for a whopping Rs 5 crore at the IPL auctionsahead of the 2019 season, making him the second most expensive player for the franchise.

Axar's economical left-arm spin bowling and handy batting lower down the order made him an asset for the Mohali franchise, as well as for India in the limited-overs formats, and Delhi Capitals will be hoping for more of the same consistent performances from the lanky all-rounder this year. Axar’s inclusion in the side adds to the balance in the bowling department, with his left-arm orthodox spin perfectly complementing the leg-spinners in the ranks.

Amit Mishra, the former India leg-spinner, remains a vital cog in the Delhi Capitals machinery with his wily leg-spin. Despite a middling 2018 season, where he took 12 wickets from 10 games, Mishra will be gunning for success in a new-look Delhi franchise, especially on a spin-friendly Feroz Shah Kotla surface.
