Murali Vijay is all set to return to the IPL fold after the 2016 edition. Bought by the Chennai Super Kings at the IPL auction, Vijay will once again try and get into the thick of things for CSK.
Vijay, who had been a key player for the Chennai Super Kings, was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL Player Auction 2014 and was inducted into the King XI Punjab squad ahead of the 2015 edition. The top-order batsman redefined himself during IPL 2010 with some impressive displays of power-hitting for CSK. Known for his technique and poise at the crease, Vijay was drafted into the Indian Test team in 2008 against a daunting Australian side. A clean hitter of the ball, the India opener possesses the gift of timing, which was well demonstrated during his record-breaking 127-run knock against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2010.
He ended up scoring 458 runs in the tournament. The stylish batsman has over 2000 runs in the VIVO IPL and will be looking forward to making an impact in the upcoming edition of the tournament.

World No. 1 in T20 format, Mitchell Santner is all set to make his debut in the league for Chennai Super Kings. Bought by the CSK for just INR 50 lacs, the Kiwi bowler has to be one of the most economical buys for CSK. Santner made his debut for New Zealand when Daniel Vettori retired from his ranks and in only his first game, Santner impressed the selectors, not with the ball, but with the bat. Since his debut, Santner has been an impressive prospect although he’s had his share of ups and downs in world cricket. With the Kiwi all-rounder joining CSK, it’ll be interesting to see how MS Dhoni utilizes the services of the world no. 1 T20 bowler.

An attacking middle-order batsman Kedar Jadhav, after representing Delhi Daredevils and RCB, will now represent CSK in the eleventh edition of the cash-rich league.
The Maharashtra batsman was bought by CSK for whopping INR 7.8 cr. Jadhav, who made his way back into the Delhi Daredevils in 2013 after spending a couple of years away, was signed up by the franchise yet again in the IPL 2014 auction. A powerful batsman, Kedar was the leading run-getter in the Ranji Trophy 2013-14 season and played a crucial role in taking his team to the tournament final. The aggressive middle-order batsman scored his maiden triple ton in the Ranji Trophy 2012-13 season, against Uttar Pradesh and was the second highest run-getter for his team in the season.

A leg-spinner from Uttar Pradesh, Karn Sharma made headlines in IPL 2014 when Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for INR 3.75 cr to in the IPL Auction. It was the highest amount earned by a domestic uncapped player in the auction and was a reward for his performance with SRH when he grabbed 11 wickets in 13 games at an economy rate of 6.60. With 15 wickets in 2014 season, the old-fashioned leggie started playing a vital role in the team’ spin bowling options. Karn was bought by Mumbai Indians in the 2017 edition of the league and they tried hard to bring him back, but CSK outbid them and landed the star spinner for INR 5 Cr.
