An Irish-born Englishman with a reputation for inventive and audacious stroke-play, Eoin Morgan has over time proved to be one of the most innovative players in international cricket. A compact left-hander, Morgan grew up playing hurling and has clearly adopted aspects of that Irish sport into his cricket. At the age of 23, he shot to prominence on the back of two match-winning innings against South Africa. With a blend of nous and power, Morgan looks a natural finisher. He has spent most of his IPL career with KKR but represented the Orange Army in 2015. Expect some fireworks from the England limited overs captain when he walks out to bat for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Vivo IPL 2016.

Morgan has spent most of his IPL career with KKR. This year he will turn up for SRH.

The mainstay of KKR’s bowling attack for years and the second-highest wicket-taker in T20s across frontiers with a tally of 360 scalps, Sunil Narine would look to up the ante in the 2019 edition. He did suffer a downturn of late when he was called for a suspect action which forced him to modify his action. He would look to outwit batsmen with his constant innovation as an off-break bowler and a more than useful pinch-hitter in the upcoming season. The team management has reposed faith in his abilities by retaining him for an impressive Rs. 8.5 crore in the auction leading up to IPL 2019.

Shivam Mavi caught everyone’s attention in the 2018 India U19 World Cup where he bowled a seething pace. He clocked more than 140 kmph regularly and soon became the talk of the tournament owing to his fast bowling abilities. Known to have a lethal bouncer and a constant drive to improve and become faster, Mavi is definitely one of the most exciting young upcoming fast bowlers. After a brilliant outing the U19 World Cup, Mavi was quick to grab attention in the IPL Auction and was ultimately picked up by KKR for a cool 3 crores.

Kerala pacer Sandeep Warrier was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2019 IPL season. He went unsold at the IPL auction held in December but an injury to Kamlesh Nagarkoti of Rajasthan prompted the KKR management to look for replacement. The Kerala pacer’s good form with the ball earned him a call-up. He was the standout bowler for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy season claiming 44 wickets from 10 matches, his best in his domestic career so far. He was instrumental in Kerala’s maiden entry in the semi-finals of the Ranji Trophy. Warrier was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore for three seasons from 2013-2015.
